Leading Ladies is a nonpartisan activist group committed to access to all to quality education, housing, jobs, food, and political representation, whatever their race, ethnicity, religion, or sexual identity. We also work towards sensible gun control laws, humane immigration practices, and the sustainability of our planet. Headquartered on the North Shore, Leading Ladies sponsors events that increase the public’s knowledge about important social justice issues.
In the past, we have screened a film about the homelessness crisis among women veterans; sponsored a contest for teens to create films about various social justice issues; and are planning a presentation by a well-known transgender writer and speaker during Pride Month in June. These public events are made possible through a partnership with The Cabot Theater in Beverly.
