Learn some basket-making basics and create a lovely Japanese-style basket with a bud vase that can be a wonderful gift for someone special.
The instructor will provide step-by-step instructions and support as you weave a square base secured with twined reed, turn up your weavers in a sweeping curve and finish the project with waxed linen knots to fasten the groups of weavers around a small vase. Kits with weaving materials, including hand-dyed rattan weavers in vibrant colors, will be available for pickup in Arlington Heights starting five days prior to the class date. Class costs $35 per parent child pair, $15 additional for third person, plus materials fee of $12 per pair, $6 for additional third materials kit.
