Date: April 23 or what is available @ 5:30pm to 8:45pm

5:30pm – Doors open upon guest arrival. Tickets and seating.

6:00pm – local featured spoken word artist. Perform a 15 min set.

6:15pm – host gives a summary of Slam rules and instructions as well as introduces the judges.

6:30pm – sacrificial poet

6:50pm – round #1 all 8 poets will compete.

7:00pm – tally up scores the first round

7:20pm – round #2 the 6 poets with the highest score will compete.

7:30pm – Tally up the scores.

7:45pm – round #3 the 3 poets with the highest score will go on to complete.

8:00pm – Tally up the scores

8:10pm – announce the winner and presented him with the grand prize of $200

8:30pm – dismissal.
