Music director Philip Sanborn leads Newton’s 20-member BAY COLONY BRASS in a free concert of Italian music arranged for brass including works by Verdi and Frescobaldi.
The program features Ottorino Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances No. 1, and his masterwork, The Pines of Rome. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Newton Cultural Council, a local council that is supported by the Mass Cultural Council and the City of Newton.
