Bay Colony Brass presents Latino Latón, a wide-ranging exploration of Latin music for brass.

OFFICIAL WEBSITE

Music director Philip Sanborn leads Newton's 20-member BAY COLONY BRASS in a concert including Augustín Lara’s Granada, George Gershwin’s Cuban Overture, and Chick Corea’s Spain. Students from the Boston Music Project will share the stage with Bay Colony Brass. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Newton Cultural Council, a local council that is supported by the Mass Cultural Council and the City of Newton.

The Showdown puts the best Fusion and Bollywood/Hindi-Film dance teams up against one another, giving the judges the unenviable task of deciding who is the best of the best. Fusion dance combines different dance styles, set to Indian music, creating its own distinct form of dance, while the Bollywood and Hindi-Film dance style is inspired by the musical numbers seen in Indian films and features expression, themes, and storylines.
