Movement and Stillness - Annual Members Juried Exhibition

Every year, this exhibition is an invitation to the Guild’s members to submit their best work in order to compete for prestigious awards.
The work in this exhibition encourages contemplation of the interplay between movement and stillness. Directed by the artist’s hand, the viewer’s eye traces lines and arabesques or settles gently on a passage or detail – the spirit soars and beauty hangs in the balance. Movement and stillness are key to fine art and play an important role in each of our lives as one gives way to the other. In this alternation between energizing movement and calming stillness, we find both rapture and relief.
