Back Bay Chorale explores the words of the poets in song, including Jeffrey Van’s moving “A Procession Winding Around Me,” set to poems by Walt Whitman and featuring Zaira Meneses on classical guitar.

The poetry of music, the music of poetry
On Saturday, October 29, join us for a very special performance that artfully sets poets' verse to music. With the acoustically-rich accompaniment of classical guitar, cello, and piano, what better way to listen to the poets' words than with beautiful choral renderings and the voice of a very special tenor soloist.

COVID policy: The health of our audience is paramount in devising our COVID safety policy. We follow current guidelines from the CDC and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. At this time we do not require proof of vaccination or masks for audience members, but we strongly recommend these for patrons at high risk (older than 60 and/or with chronic illness). Others may also feel more comfortable with these measures. All of our performers have been vaccinated and boosted. The Chorale singers will perform wearing high-quality masks, except for our soloists and conductor.
