Performing “Comfort & Joy – a celebration” this December, Cantilena – a women’s chorale – welcomes a return to the good company of friends and the wonderful feeling of making music together for the enjoyment of both the audience and the ensemble!
Cantilena - a women's chorale, welcomes concert-goers to an afternoon of both soothing and uplifting music. Artistic Director Elinor Armsby has chosen compositions that are stylistically diverse, drawn from a variety of traditions. For example, both Margaret Bonds' newly published "Sleep Song" and Marjan Helms' recent interpretation of "Sukkat Shelomekha" bring the listener comfort, and works like Bruce W. Tickets ($9*-$25) can be purchased online. Admission $25/at the door; $22.50/in advance. Cantilena offers Senior/Student admission ($20) and EBT/WIC Card-to-Culture discounts. Children 12 and under - free admission with an adult.
