In this class, we’ll look at how artists use transitions and contrasts between light and shadow to create realistic paintings with dynamic compositions. Then we’ll try it out with a fun art-making activity! Intended for children ages 5-12.
The Guild of Boston Artists is excited to once again hold our beloved Free Children's Art Discovery Classes that provide a fun and educational opportunity for children in the community to learn about the different aspects of art-making including color, values, perspective, and design. Our goal is to help children see the artworks in our gallery through an artist's eye with discussions, hands-on learning, and art-making experiences.

Street parking is usually available in the area surrounding Newbury Street. There are also a selection of garages in the vicinity including the 200 Newbury Garage beneath the Nike Store at the corner of Newbury and Exeter Sts as well as the Clarendon St. Garage.
