Ludwig van Beethoven
The program consists of the Mass in C Major, Opus 86 and two shorter compositions performed by Dedham Choral Society’s volunteer chorus accompanied by a full orchestra and four soloists under the direction of Jonathan Barnhart.
Originally planned by DCS for spring 2020 but postponed due to the pandemic, the concert celebrates one the world's greatest musical geniuses. The main composition is the Mass in C Major, Opus 86, composed in 1807, which has been praised for its directness and emotional content.
