Louise Grasmere and Linda Shoemaker

With acoustic guitar, vocals and percussion Louise and Linda will bring songs from the ‘Next Chapter’ series of their new work, including Soul, Jazz, Blues and Folk with compelling grooves and beautiful story-telling.

The Friends' Reading Room Concert Series is back live in 2023, and we are delighted to welcome Louise Grasmere and Linda Shoemaker to open the Series for us. With acoustic guitar, vocals and percussion they will bring songs from the 'Next Chapter' series of their new work. The Showdown puts the best Fusion and Bollywood/Hindi-Film dance teams up against one another, giving the judges the unenviable task of deciding who is the best of the best. Fusion dance combines different dance styles, set to Indian music, creating its own distinct form of dance, while the Bollywood and Hindi-Film dance style is inspired by the musical numbers seen in Indian films and features expression, themes, and storylines.
