Jazz in the Park: Celebrating Great African-American Composers

An evening of jazz music by the Massachusetts Symphony joined by guest artists from Berklee College of Music featuring the works of iconic composers Ellington, Basie, Strayhorn, Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Ray Charles, John Coltrane & Herbie Hancock.

This concert is entitled Jazz in the Park:  Celebrating Great African-American Composers.  Led by Jorge Soto, this performance will feature members of the Massachusetts Symphony along with guest artists Yoron Israel, Rich Kelley, Angel Subero and other jazz masters.  The concert date is Sunday, July 18 at 7PM at Worcester's Institute Park, 82 Salisbury Street.  Rain date is Sunday, July 25 at 7PM.  Free admission.  Repertoire includes Handy's St. Louis Blues, Duke Ellington's Caravan and ... view more »
