About WNBA and the Boston chapter Supporting the value of books and reading since 1917 The Women’s National Book Association is a membership organization, with ten chapters nationwide, committed to promoting books, literacy, and women’s careers in publishing and allied fields. Our mission as the Boston chapter is to initiate meaningful connections among the New England book community (publishing professionals, reading groups, writers and academics, and anyone else who loves books) by providing a range of forums for interaction, including events that educate, entertain, and inspire.
