Pizzicanto Duo is a duo ensemble comprised of soprano Theodora Nestorova and cellist Alex Fowler, who began collaborating together while both studying at Boston’s New England Conservatory of Music. Pizzicanto Duo arranges, performs, and records music both within and outside of the Western Art Music canon while broadening the repertoire for a duo of solo instruments. Theodora and Alex’s mission in forming Pizzicanto is to raise awareness of overshadowed socio-cultural issues by elevating marginalized repertoire, especially underrepresented Eastern world music.
