Youth Learn To Draw For Life 2

Join local artist and teacher Mei-Ling Ellerman for “Young Artists Learning to Draw for Life Course II” (classes 9-16). The course is for children ages 9-13 who have had some prior experience drawing, or who have taken my beginner course. The new course will be taught in person at First Parish, Wayland on Fridays from 4-5:30 pm beginning on March 3rd.  It will offer the opportunity for students to hone their observational and drawing skills while drawing subjects ranging from horses and butterfly koi, to botanical drawings, and an imitation of an Old Master drawing with conté crayons. Students will put their growing knowledge about tonal values, contour lines, proportion, and color into practice and will continue working with conté crayons, graphite pencils, and colored pencils.
