WordXWord presents a mini-festival of poetry, spoken word and storytelling at The Mount / Edith Wharton’s Home.

WordXWord presents a mini-festival of poetry, spoken word and storytelling at The Mount / Edith Wharton’s Home. Celebrating home-grown poetry and spoken word, as well as the work of visiting artists, festival events will be held outdoors taking advantage of The Mount’s beautiful setting and open spaces. Featuring the voices of 9 women, spanning 7 generations and a broad spectrum of approach and style. Grace Rossman, Melissa Cairns, Dianne Olsen, Don’Jea Smith, D Colin, Liv McKee, Ashley Alafberg, Hazel Glazer, & Nicki T.

7P - Story Slam
Storytellers spin tales around the theme “unsaid” in a lively, friendly competition.

In addition to the performances, each evening will get underway with the Wild Words Cafe orchestrated by Melissa Cairns. From 5-5:45P each evening all are invited to join in a very social hour. Bring your own snacks, catch up with old friends, make new ones, try your hand at a writing challenge, or just chill out! Plus a poetry-book swap (leave one and/or take one).

In the case of rain or inclement weather, events will be held in The Mount’s large event tent where proper social distancing will be maintained.
