Austrian guitar-player/composer Wolfgang Muthspiel, renowned for an "effortless mastery of his instrument" (allaboutjazz.com) returns to the beloved guitar trio formation. His new trio with the stellar rhythm section of Scott Colley on bass and Brian Blade on drums, was convened for a tour of Japan in the summer of 2018. The Showdown puts the best Fusion and Bollywood/Hindi-Film dance teams up against one another, giving the judges the unenviable task of deciding who is the best of the best. Fusion dance combines different dance styles, set to Indian music, creating its own distinct form of dance, while the Bollywood and Hindi-Film dance style is inspired by the musical numbers seen in Indian films and features expression, themes, and storylines.
