Join the Gardner’s Curtor of the Collection, Nathaniel Silver to explore the artist, his commissions for King Philip II, and their pivotal place in the history of Western European painting.

As the leading painter in Europe, Titian painted a series of mythological canvases for the world's most powerful ruler, King Philip II of Spain. Join Gardner's William and Lia Curator of the Collection, Nathaniel Silver to explore the artist, his poesie for the king, and their pivotal place in the history of Western European painting.

This lecture is presented in conjunction with the exhibition, Titian: Women, Myth & Power, on view through January 2, 2022.

Discounted* parking is available on Levels P1-P3 of the Simmons School of Management (SOM) Garage, at 86 Avenue Louis Pasteur.

MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS PARKING
Three parking lots are available at the Museum of Fine Arts, on Museum Road accessible from Huntington Avenue or from the Fenway.
