Wednesday in the studio - Mira Cantor

Mira Cantor‘s exhibition Under Siege in the Kingston Project Space was inspired by the story of Adam and Eve’s expulsion from Eden. In her artist statement, Cantor wrote, “From the beginning, humanity was always under siege and the garden was just a make-believe world where man found out what it felt like to be expelled, evicted without empathy, fearing the unknown.”

The artist speaks with Kingston Gallery Director, Chantal Zakari, in an intimate studio visit session about this body of work, exploring the meaning of being “under siege” during the time of a global pandemic.
