Walter Gropius Lecture: Mark Lee, “Five Footnotes Toward an Architecture”

Mark Lee will deliver the 2023 Walter Gropius Lecture at the GSD.

Mark Lee, MArch ’95, is Chair of the Department of Architecture and Professor in Practice at GSD. He is also a principal and founding partner of the Los Angeles-based architecture firm Johnston Marklee. Since its establishment in 1998, Johnston Marklee has been recognized nationally and internationally with over 40 major awards. A book on the work of the firm, entitled HOUSE IS A HOUSE IS A HOUSE IS A HOUSE IS A HOUSE, was published by Birkhauser. This followed monographs on the firm’s work, published by 2G, El Croquis, and ATU.
