Urban Sketching

Urban sketching is the intersection of observation and participation, pencil strokes and watercolor, movement and snapshot. Come join us in Union Square and practice the art of visual storytelling with our Urban Sketching Workshop series! Drawing on location is a practice that improves your skills while documenting in-the-moment experiences. In this 3-hour workshop, you will use your favorite portable media to capture the essence of your surroundings in quick sketches. Experimenting with combinations of watercolor, ink, and pencil is a playful way to develop your own style while engaging your observational skills.
