Tracks // Where will dance take you? is a sister city collaboration between Kat Nasti Dance and Green Street Studios of Cambridge, MA, and artist manager Jessica Marino (JAMpress management) of Pittsburgh, PA. Tracks provides select artists a platform and path for growth outside of home cities. The initiative debuted in January 2017 during the Association of Performing Arts Presenters conference in New York City and now tours to Pittsburgh, Boston, and Lehigh Valley, PA.
Tracks provides a platform for a thoughtfully curated roster of esteemed artists sharing a mosaic of dance styles including; modern, contemporary, street, ballet, tap, Burlesque, Folk, and dance theater. Tracks is designed to support dance makers and presenters in various stages of career development – in turn celebrating some of the industries freshest works and stakeholders. Tracks collaborates with local organizations in host cities to bring visibility to the strengths and address the weaknesses in each local dance landscape. Through multiple showcase opportunities, it is priority for this initiative to foster a creative environment where artists and presenters can meet, network, and build meaningful relationships, with the focus of booking engagements (performances, residencies, masterclasses, collaborations). 2017 Host City collaborators include: PearlArts Studios, Green Street Studios, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and Lehigh Valley Dance Exchange.
