The Marriage of Figaro (or The Crazy Day)

February 6-9, 2020 at Longy School of Music of Bard College, Boston Opera Collaborative presents The Marriage of Figaro, in English and distilled to two hours.

Featuring a cast of BOC's young professional singers and Longy graduate students, this sparkling, vibrant production explores the very timely themes of Mozart’s comic masterpiece. Using a brilliant combination of text by Beaumarchais and Da Ponte, this “Crazy Day” in the Marriage of Figaro is distilled to a tight two hours.

The Showdown puts the best Fusion and Bollywood/Hindi-Film dance teams up against one another, giving the judges the unenviable task of deciding who is the best of the best. Fusion dance combines different dance styles, set to Indian music, creating its own distinct form of dance, while the Bollywood and Hindi-Film dance style is inspired by the musical numbers seen in Indian films and features expression, themes, and storylines.
