The Gardner's Luminary Lens Series presents:

A piano solo performance and film screening

Join us for a live performance and film screening of Doorways by pianist and composer, Neighborhood Salon Luminary Kevin Harris, ​followed by a conversation with the artist. Doorways investigates Harris’ idea that "time plus movement = perspective" in a musical exploration of passageways and portals in the Gardner Museum's historic building. Film by Paloma Valenzuela.

ADMISSION INFO

This performance and film screening takes place during Free First Thursdays.

Museum admission is free but reservations are required for this free, 90-minute featured program. (Program tickets include general museum entry. If you plan to attend the film screening, please reserve your tickets for the performance.)

The Museum and Cafe G are open late, and art-making activities are offered in the Studio.

A limited number of free and metered spots are available near the Gardner Museum. We also offer discounted parking at the next-door Simmons School of Management Garage and are walking distance from the lots at the Museum of Fine Arts.

SIMMONS UNIVERSITY PARKING
Discounted* parking is available on Levels P1-P3 of the Simmons School of Management (SOM) Garage, at 86 Avenue Louis Pasteur.

MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS PARKING
Three parking lots are available at the Museum of Fine Arts, on Museum Road accessible from Huntington Avenue or from the Fenway.

Info regarding how this event is being affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.:

All visitors ages 12 and older who are attending a program or concert will be required to provide the following during entry to Calderwood Hall: - Government-issued photo ID and one of the following form of COVID-related documentation: - Proof of full vaccination (two weeks after second shot of two-shot vaccine or the first of a one-shot vaccine): Accepted forms of proof of vaccination include: CDC vaccination card (or photo), MA or other U.S. vaccination record (or photo), or any official immunization record from outside of the U.S.) or photo. - Proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the event or a rapid antigen test taken within 24 hours of the event. You may provide the original document or a photo on your phone as long as all information is clearly visible and date- and/or time-stamped. These policies apply to all programs held in Calderwood Hall.
