The Edo period (1615–1868) was a time of critical change in the history of Japan; the country settled into an era of peace under the warrior government of the shoguns and opened its doors to greater engagement with the outside world. The symposium will take place in Menschel Hall, Lower Level. Please enter the museums via the entrance on Broadway. Seating will begin at 12:30pm. Free admission, but seating is limited.

Complimentary parking available in the Broadway Garage, 7 Felton Street, Cambridge.
