Boston photographer Samuel Williams presents his online exhibit, “The Emotions of Protest” at the Needham Free Public Library February 1-28 at https://www.needhamma.gov/3168.
Williams, who grew up in Concord, Mass., used a square-format film camera to photograph the community of people protesting systemic racism and the death of George Floyd area throughout 2020 in the Boston area. With this camera, Williams captures a higher level of detail and texture compared with images created with a 35 mm digital camera.
