The Bridges of Madison County

The Bridges of Madison County (1995) – A moving love story set in 1964, with actor and director Clint Eastwood as a photographer on assignment to shoot the historic bridges of Madison County, Iowa. He meets a housewife (Meryl Streep), whose husband and children are away on a trip, and the film traces a brief affair that is never sordid but instead one of two soul mates who have met too late. Meryl Streep’s performance earned an Oscar nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role, and a Golden Globe award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture.
