Teresa Ines was called “a great Latin diva” by the Boston Globe and started her career in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After moving to Boston she’s become the most well-known Brazilian vocalist on New England’s scene . Grafting specific American jazz influences onto her inclusive yet eclectic vocabulary of Brazilian melodies and rhythms, Ines was invited to be the opening act for  Bossa Nova Master João Gilberto’s concert in Boston. Ines has a warmly crooning voice with clarinet-like overtones, compared to that of her great countrywoman Nana Caymmi, yet further enhanced by sophisticated phrasing, an elegant delivery and a magnetically charismatic, unselfconsciously sensual stage presence.
