Tanglewood Marionettes - Sleeping Beauty

A sold-out crowd enjoyed the artistry of Tanglewood Marionette’s production of Cinderella in February. The visually stunning set, the mesmerizing performance, and the witty dialogue kept our audience captivated throughout the entire show! Some members of our audience even tried a bit of puppeteering after the show under the guidance of Anne and Peter Schaefer, our master puppeteers.
Newton Parks, Recreation, and Culture is thrilled to welcome back the Tanglewood Marionettes in April! The classic tale Sleeping Beauty is told by wooden marionette puppets brought to life by the artistic talents of Peter and Anne Schaefer who are The Tanglewood Marionettes.

Founded in 1993, Tanglewood Marionettes is a nationally touring marionette company whose unique productions have been seen by hundreds of thousands of children and families across the country.
