Street Stage

BLO Street Stage is a mobile performance stage bringing beautiful music to you across Greater Boston. The custom exterior was designed and painted by talented teen artists employed at Artists For Humanity – and led by the organization’s co-founders Jason Talbot and Rob “ProBlak” Gibbs. Join us for upcoming outdoor and in-person performances near you.
The BLO Street Stage, a new mobile performance space, was born out of the need to present opera to our community safely. With traditional theatres closed and the need to innovate how we create and share opera in 2020, BLO brings our stage to you. We are proud to launch this new initiative while continuing to serve our mission.”

This stage provides a safe and accessible way to enjoy opera while maintaining social distance from others. There will be limited performances throughout the fall, and many more in 2021 and beyond!

Health and Safety

The health and safety of our community is our top priority. We have implemented a series of procedures recommended by BLO’s Health Task Force for Opera Artists to ensure that all of our audiences, artists, and staff are able to enjoy BLO Street Stage.

Exterior Design

BLO worked in collaboration with Artists For Humanity (AFH) co-founders Jason Talbot and Rob “ProBlak” Gibbs, commissioning original artwork for BLO Street Stage and providing employment for a team of teen artists. BLO is proud to continue our ongoing partnership with AFH that has spanned nearly a decade.
