Southern Rail Mardi Gras Night

Sudbury Meetinghouse Concerts invites you to enjoy a special Madis Gras Night with  Southern Rail! Listen to live bluegrass while savoring delicious Cajun fare!  What could be better?  Dinner will be served at 5 pm, and music will start at 6 pm. Not to be missed!

Southern Rail’s bluegrass is high-octane octane exuberant fun with stunning harmonies, irrepressible good humor, and sparkling banjo, guitar, and mandolin. The group has 11 recordings to their credit, one of which (an early Gospel compilation entitled “Glory Train”)  was nominated for “Gospel Recording of the Year” by the International Bluegrass Music Association. The band’s founding members, guitarist Jim Muller and bassist Sharon Horovitch, were recently inducted into the RIBA Bluegrass Hall of Fame. The group is rounded out by two talented musicians: banjoist Rich Stillman and mandolinist John Tibert.
