Sound, Texture, Color, Gesture

The second concert in Music for Food’s 12th Boston core concert season starts at 7:30pm on Sunday, December 12, in New England Conservatory’s Brown Hall, and features Hindemith’s Die Serenaden for voice, oboe, viola, and cello, Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in F minor, Op. 80, and Gershwin’s Preludes for Piano arranged for woodwind quintet. Our esteemed artists for this concert include: Maria Ioudenitch, Geneva Lewis, Zhanbo Zheng, Lluis Claret, Tom Novak, Peggy Pearson, Kendra Colton, Kim Kashkashian, and Yeesun Kim. Keeping with the season’s theme–Sound, Texture, Color, Gesture–each piece on the program will be accompanied by projections of its composer’s artwork.
