A Mount Auburn tradition of outdoor large-scale light & sound artworks with indoor candle-lighting & live music.
SOLSTICE: Reflections on Winter Light is an annual event at Mount Auburn Cemetery that includes an outdoor journey through large-scale light and sound artworks, and an indoor experience with live music and candle lighting. Guests are invited to walk through the light-filled landscape and explore the Winter Solstice atmosphere, and to reflect on moments of change as the year ends and a new cycle begins. Youth (5-12yrs): $5
Child (under 5yrs): Free
We are offering two "Pay What you Want" nights on Dec 12 and 19 with adult tickets offered at a $10, $20, and $30 level.
We are also offering two "Quiet Hours" for the first hour of Dec 13 and 20 to offer a space for those who may be actively grieving, have sensory sensitivities, and/or are looking for a more tranquil, reflective SOLSTICE experience.
