This program is designed for emerging children and YA authors and will include a $23,000 stipend, funds for coaching, and a year-long office at the prestigious BPL from October 2024 through September 2025. The Showdown puts the best Fusion and Bollywood/Hindi-Film dance teams up against one another, giving the judges the unenviable task of deciding who is the best of the best. Fusion dance combines different dance styles, set to Indian music, creating its own distinct form of dance, while the Bollywood and Hindi-Film dance style is inspired by the musical numbers seen in Indian films and features expression, themes, and storylines.
