Regie Gibson & Atlas Soul

Poet and spoken-word artist Regie Gibson, last seen on Celebrity Series at Home, takes the stage at Cambridge Public Library as part of the award-winning quintet Atlas Soul. The group’s motto, “world music for world peace,” spells out its philosophical and political goal: to inspire world peace through a fusion of music and culture that gets people to the dance floor. Their music, with lyrics in five languages, celebrates polyrhythm and melodies rooted in the Afro-Mediterranean traditions punched with organic deep funk, jazz and hip hop.
