Taina Vargas: Community Gardening Facilitator
Through the Radical Futures workshop series we strive to build stronger communities– to not only survive as Queer and Trans People of Color but also to change our circumstances.
Herbalist and educator Taina Vargas will teach us the skills needed to build and sustain a community garden with a focus on food justice as we gather on the land at Haley House’s Thornton St Urban farm. We will learn how to build resilience to climate change by asking ourselves how our actions now impact seven generations into the future.
