Printmaking: Drypoint Techniques with Ethan Rice

In this innovative class taught by printmaker Ethan Rice, you will be exposed to the intaglio printmaking process of drypoint and learn how to print from the bottom of an incision which is otherwise known as an “intaglio”technique in printmaking. You will learn how to prepare a plate, use and care for tools, which plates to use, incise plates and print a numbered edition(s). You will explore various print techniques with emphasis on drypoint and discuss other related techniques. You will also learn about the history and origins of printmaking.
