Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra Presents American Favorites

Our 107th season opens with music that has won the hearts of audiences from coast to coast. The celebration begins with Florence Price, a pioneer in classical music as the first African-American woman whose music was played by a major symphony orchestra. George Gershwin, the toast of Broadway, was in his early twenties when his showy jazz concerto, Rhapsody in Blue, oozed from his fingertips.
