Phunk World

Comprised of spoken word/poetry along with hip-hop dancing, Phunk World was written to creatively showcase, through hip-hop, a positive outlook on today’s world. Taking place in the present time, the story focuses on a group of children strongly affected by negativity and the current environment. Desperately looking for an escape and a better place (and way) to live, they are magically ushered through a computer screen to an old school TV by a crew of hip-hop fairies who take them into a New World – Phunk World – where the children through a hip-hop twist of classic TV will learn that all races can celebrate their differences and live together in peace. Promoting positivity and harmony while both encouraging young people and introducing the art of hip-hop dance and culture are ultimately the goals of Phunk World.
