A screening of the 1954 musical spoof on “The Golden Age of Television” in the micro cinema of the Somerville Theatre.
Phil Silvers stars as “Jerry Biffle”, the former King of Comedy on 1950’s television who is now trying to stave off the cancellation of his Variety Show due to low ratings. An elaborate satire on “The Golden Age of Television” that also stars the Incomparable Rose Marie (From the “Dick Van Dyke Show”) with a musical score by Johnny Mercer.
