Boston’s 14th Music for Food season opens September 24th, 2pm, in Brown Hall with a program of Stravinsky’s A Soldier’s Tale, all to benefit Women’s Lunch Place.

Music for Food Boston’s 14th Season–Parlando–is all about musical storytelling. Each program features both a piece with spoken-word elements and a world premiere for viola, composed and performed by New England Conservatory students. Our beloved friend Tom Novak curated this season’s opening concert, which includes Igor Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du soldat (A Soldier’s Tale), narrated by Kim Kashkashian and Niles Hawver, and a new viola work by Lingbo Ma!
