Online Trivia Night With The Boston Public Library

This free trivia event, hosted by the Leventhal Map & Education Center in collaboration with the Boston Public Library\’s Department of Special Collections, utilizes ATLASCOPE, a completely free online and app-based resource for exploring and browsing the Map Center\’s incredible digitized urban atlases collection.

The atlases appear as continuous, zoomable web layers, allowing users to pull up specific maps for all areas of Boston, and compare the current streetscapes with historical records to answer questions in a geographic scavenger hunt. Participants will also be challenged to discover the collections of the Boston Public Library and learn more about Boston\’s history, with winning teams receiving prizes.

Registration is encouraged here, and registrants can participate as individuals or members of a team. This free online trivia night will be broadcast over the Leventhal Map & Education Center\’s YouTube Channel and Facebook Live.
