Nosferatu: An Israeli-German Halloween Experience

On its 100th anniversary, the “holy grail” of all silent films – Murnau’s “Nosferatu” (1922) – gets a daring new score. Depicting life in a city burdened with a plague, and the tale of one woman’s bravery – Nosferatu couldn’t be more relevant for 2022.

Composed and performed live by Israeli musician Ellyott אליוט in conjunction with the film, the new soundtrack is life affirming, tragic and magical, invoking techno, art rock and classical music. The hand-controlled electronica and re-wired guitar blur the lines between a screening and a live show.

Presented by Goethe-Institut Boston in collaboration with the Consulate General of Israel to New England.
