Mark your calendars… Newton Community Pride’s WinterFEST is THIS month, January 27 & 28! Please join for a weekend of free and accessible family entertainment and exciting winter-themed programming for all to enjoy.

On Sunday, January 28, gather on The Newton Centre Green with your friends and family at 11:00 am and enjoy a live ice sculpture carving demonstration, diverse entertainment, and performances. Meet Elsa from Disney's Frozen and her other winter friends, paint a plow with Newton's DPW, and shop in our pop-up Winter Market from local vendors. We're excited about the 15th annual @southasianshowdown this Saturday, presented by our friends at @bostonbhangra at the Strand Theatre! The Showdown puts the best Fusion and Bollywood/Hindi-Film dance teams up against one another, giving the judges the unenviable task of deciding who is the best of the best. Fusion dance combines different dance styles, set to Indian music, creating its own distinct form of dance, while the Bollywood and Hindi-Film dance style is inspired by the musical numbers seen in Indian films and features expression, themes, and storylines. This will be an unbelievable show and an unparalleled experience for all ages!
