“New Beginnings”

The jazz quintet includes Yoron Israel on drums, Tom Palance on trumpet, Brian Price on saxophone, John Kramer on piano, and Rick McLaughlin on bass.

The program includes jazz tunes such as Kenny Barron’s “Dawn,” Ray Henderson’s “Bye Bye Blackbird,” Thad Jones’s “A Child is Born,” and many more.

This year, Winchester Unitarian Society’s Jazz in the Sanctuary presents “New Beginnings,” Friday, January 27th, at 8:00 PM. The concert ushers in the post-pandemic “reboot” we’ve been experiencing lately, with jazz tunes such as McCoy Tyner’s “Inception,” Herbie Hancock’s “Maiden Voyage,” Slide Hampton’s “A New Thing,” Kenny Barron’s “Dawn,” and many others.
