Nate Aronow Nextet at the POST Underground Brookline

“Real Music for a Fake World”: Set One at the Post Underground.  The Nate Aronow Nextet has been delighting Boston audiences with their brand of thoughtful and entertaining contemporary jazz at clubs, festivals and private events for several years.   The band will play its most popular original contemporary jazz compositions in swing, latin, R&B, and fusion styles, and new tunes “hot off the press”.  The Nextet consists of Nate on piano, Doug Sondak on saxophone and flute, Ken Ormes on guitar, Reed Butler on bass and Dr. David Mann on drums.  The Nextet plays from 7:30-8:30pm, opening for the excellent house band  “Standards by Starlight” who will play until 11pm!  The Post Underground is a friendly and roomy space downstairs at the Brookline VFW.  No cover charge, free munchies available, and inexpensive VFW beverage prices.  It’s a great way to kick off your weekend!
