“Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel Ceiling: Interpretations through a Surgeon's Prism”

Dr. Stephen Zappala’s lecture applies his knowledge of surgical anatomy to reveal cryptic messaging and construct novel interpretations.

Michelangelo created the fresco on the Ceiling of the Sistine Chapel between 1508 and 1512. The fresco is one of the great masterpieces of the Renaissance and 500 years later, it represents one of the wonders of the art world.

Dr. Stephen Zappala’s lecture applies his knowledge of surgical anatomy to reveal cryptic messaging and construct novel interpretations.
