The Lowell Chamber Orchestra, together with The Boston Cecilia, will present a performance of Mozart’s Requiem, at 7:30 PM on May 4, 2024, at the Richard and Nancy Donahue Family Academic Arts Center, 240 Central St., Lowell, MA 01852.
Led by music director Orlando Cela, the orchestra will partner with the voices of the Boston Cecelia to perform the Robert Levin completion of the beautiful and timeless Requiem, Mozart's final and unfinished masterpiece. With Aurora Martin, Christina English, Kartik Ayssola, Daniel Fridley, soloists. A repeat performance will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, 8:00 PM, at All Saints Parish, Brookline, conducted by Cecelia music director Michael Barrett.

The Lowell Chamber Orchestra (LCO) is Lowell’s first and only professional orchestra, providing the area with an ensemble that presents music at a very high level, of all styles and time periods. Now in its fifth season, the LCO has presented concerts that encompass established orchestral repertoire as well as multimedia works, stage works, lecture-presentations, and chamber music. As part of its mission of promoting, preserving and educating, the repertoire include works from the Baroque, to current commissions.
