“Geometry Lessons” features paintings and sculptural works made of paper investigating polyhedra forms… Platonic solids. “Souvenirs and Castaways” delves deeply into the duality of plastic—a material the artist finds beguiling and horrifying.
Michelle Lougee's fetish-like Souvenirs series are fashioned of post-consumer blister packages encapsulating natural objects such as feathers, lichen, shells, and pine cones. Her signature crochet stitches frame natural and unnatural content.
