Evan Garza is a D.C. based curator and writer, and co-curator and artistic director of the 2021 Texas Biennial. He has held curatorial positions at Rice University in Houston, the Blanton Museum in Austin, and SMFA/Tufts. He co-founded the Fire Island Artist residency, the first residency program in the world exclusively for LGBTQ+ artists.
